Synopsis : Un court-métrage expérimental dans la lignée de Lux Æterna, monté avec des images issues du Roi des Rois de Cecil B. DeMille. Une voix off prononce "Relax" de manière hypnotique, Relax étant le titre de travail de Lux Æterna.
Projeté une seule fois à L'Étrange Festival 2020, monté avec Lux Æterna en un seul bout.
Historique : Alors que Lux Æterna ne dure que 50 minutes, Gaspar Noé réfléchit à comment le compléter pour faire un programme plus long. Il hésite entre tourner d'autres séquences de Lux Æterna ou faire un autre court métrage.
Le 6 mars 2020, le festival du film de Tribeca annonce alors une nouvelle durée pour le film : 67 minutes. Compte tenu de la pandémie, le festival est annulé... Quelques mois plus tard, Gaspar Noé présente Lux Æterna à L'Étrange Festival, accompagné d'une "surprise" : The Art of Filmmaking, accolé en introduction de Lux Æterna. Ce sera la seule exploitation publique du film en France, puisqu'il ne sera pas utilisé dans nos salles ni en vidéo.
LTDT apprend plus tard que The Art of Filmmaking a surtout été conçu pour les pays étrangers qui réclamaient une version plus longue pour pouvoir lui garantir une exploitation en salles.

Projected once in Paris at L'Étrange Festival 2020, in the opening of Lux Æterna.
History : While Lux Æterna lasts only 50 minutes (considered a shortfilm in France), Gaspar Noé thinks about how to complete it in order to make it something longer. He hesitates between shooting other sequences for Lux Æterna or shoot a whole new shortfilm.
On March 6th, 2020, Tribeca film festival announces a new running time for Lux Æterna : 67 minutes. Because of the pandemic, the festival is cancelled. A few months later, Gaspar Noé shows Lux Æterna at L'Étrange Festival (Paris), along with a "surprise" : The Art of Filmmaking, joined to the opening of Lux Æterna. It would be the only screening of the movie in France as it wasn't showed in theaters nor in home entertainment.
LTDT learnt later that The Art of Filmmaking was mostly made for foreign countries which asked for a longer version so Lux Æterna can be showed in movie theaters.
